The Seattle Mariners win a close one

Just like the Seattle Mariners as a team, younger pitcher Roenis Elias stared off fast but hasn’t had much success since. He hopes that tonights game against the Texas Rangers will get him back to the winning way he saw at the beginning of the month. Blocking his way to get that win will be Rangers’ starting pitcher Robbie Ross Jr. who beat the Mariners earlier.
Michael Choice will start the 1st inning with a strike out. Elvis Andrus is the second man up as he flies out to Stephen Romero. That brings up former Mariner Adrian Beltre who strikes out to end the top of the inning. Abraham Almonte will start the home half of the inning with an infield hit. Willie Bloomquist will bat second and he flies out to Alex Rios. That brings up Robinson Cano as he hits into a double play to end the 1st.
Prince Fielder will start the 2nd inning with a strike out. Alex Rios is the next man to step up to the plate and he hits a line drive that falls in front of Stephen Romero for a single. Donnie Murphy is up next and he hits a ground ball back to the pitcher who turns it into a double play to end the top of the inning. Corey Hart will start the home half of the inning with line drive that is caught by Prince Fielder. Stephen Romero is the next man to the plate and he a ball pasty first bases for a double. Next up is Justin Smoak and he strikes out. That brings up Kyle Seager who flies out to Michael Choice to end the 2nd.
J.P. Arencibia will start the 3rd inning with a double. Leonys Martin steps up to the plate and he sacrrifices Arencibia to third. That brings up Josh Wilson, Arencibia scores on a wild pitch, who hits a ground ball to Kyle Seager for an out. Back to the top of the order for Michael Choice as he grounds out to Kyle Seager to end the top of the inning. Cole Gillespie will start the home half of the inning with a ground out. Mike Zunino will walk into the batter’s box and he is hit by a pitch. Back to the top of the order for Abraham Almonte who hits a ball back to the pitcher who throws out Zunino for a fielder’s choice. Willie Bloomquist steps up to the plate and he hits a single. With two on and two out Robinson Cano steps up to the plate and he grounds out to end the 3rd.
Elvis Andrus will start the 4th with a walk. Andrian Beltre is the next man up to the plate as he gets an RBI by bringing Andrus home on a double. That brings up Prince Fielder who pops out to Willie Bloomquist. Alex Rios is the next man to the plate and he walks. Donnie Murphy walks up to the plate and he walks on 4 pitches. With the bases loaded J.P. Arencibia walks up to the plate and he strikes out. Leonys Martin comes up for his second at bat and he strikes out to end the top of the inning. Corey Hart will start off the home half of the inning with ground out to third. Stephen Romero is next and he strikes out. That brings up Justin Smoak who is hit by a pitch. Kyle Seager walks up to the plate and he strikes out to end the 4th. 2-0 Rangers.
Former Mariner Josh Wilson will start the 5th with strike out. Back to the top of the order for Michael Choice who grounds out to Robinson Cano. That brings up Elvis Andrus who flies out to Stephen Romero to end the top of the inning. Cole Gillespie will start off the home half of the inning and is safe on an error. Mike Zunino steps up to the plate who strikes out as Gillespie is thrown out for a double play. Back to the top of the order for Abraham Almonte who is hit by a pitch. Willie Bloomquist steps up the plate and he gets a single. Robinson Cano is the next man to the plate hits a double that brings both Almonte and Bloomquist home to time the game. Corey Hart steps up and he hits a long fly ball that is caught to end the 5th. Mariners & Rangers tied at 2.
Andrian Beltre will start the 6th with a fly to Stephen Romero. Prince Fielder steps up to the gets a single. That brings up Alex Rios who hits a double and Prince Fielder takes third. Donnie Murphy is the next man to the plate and he grounds out to Kyle Seager. Dominic Leone takes over the pitching duties for the Mariners. J. P. Arencibia steps into the box, Fielder scores on a wild pitch, and he walks. The next man to the plate is Leonys Martin who strikes out to end the top of the inning. Stephen Romero will start the home half of the inning with a ground ball to third for the first out. Justin Smoak is the next man to the plate and he grounds out. That brings up Kyle Seager who singles. Cole Gillespie steps up to the plate and he flies out to Rios to end the 6th. Rangers 3-2.
Josh Wilson will start the 7th with a ground ball to Robinson Cano for the first out. Back to the top of the order for Michael Choice who grounds out to Justin Smoak. Elvis Andrus is the next man to the plate and he hits a ground ball to Willie Bloomquist to end the top of the inning. Jason Frasor takes over the pitching duties for the Rangers. Mike Zunino starts of the home half of the inning with a pop up to Martin. Back to the top of the order for Abraham Almonte who hits a ground ball to second for an out. Willie Bloomquist is up and he strikes out to end the 7th.
Yoervis Medina will take over the pitching duties for the Mariners. Andrian Beltre will start the 8th with a ground out to Kyle Seager. Prince Fielder steps up to the plate and he gets a single. That brings up Alex Rios who hits a ground ball to Kyle Seager who starts a double play to end the top of the inning. Neal Cotts will take over the pitching duties for the Rangers. Robinson Cano will start off the bottom of the inning with a single. Corey Hart will step up to the plate, Robinson Cano takes second on a passed ball, and he hit by a pitch. Stephen Romero steps up and lays down a great bunt to load the bases. Michael Saunders will pinch run for Hart. Justin Smoak walks up to the plate and he hits a 2-run double to give the Mariners the lead. Kyle Seager is next to the plate and he brings in Stephen Romero on an RBI single. Alexi Ogando will take over the pitching for the Rangers. Dustin Ackley will pinch hit, for Cole Gillespie, as he steps into the batter’s box, Smoak scores on a wild pitch, and he strikes out. Mike Zunino steps up to the plate and pops out to the shortstop. Back to the top of the order for Abraham Almonte who hits a fly ball that is caught by Leonys Martin on the warning track to end the 8th. 6-3 Mariners.
Fernando Rodney will take over the pitching duties for the Mariners. Mitch Moreland will pinch hit for Donnie Murphy and gets a broke bat single. Luis Sardinas will pinch hit for J.P. Arencipia and he grounds into a fielder’s choice. That brings Leonys Martin to the plate and he hits a single to give the Rangers runners at the corners. Josh Wilson is next to the plate, Martin steals second, and he is hit by a pitch. Back to the top of the order for Michael Choice who walks in a run. Elvis Andruis is the next man up and he walks in a run. That brings up Andrian Beltre and he hits a ground ball to Justin Smoak who makes an unassisted double play for the win.
